On the 3rd to 8th of March, 2025, the Quintessential Healthcare Centre, which is a registered education provider for the COLOMBO Plan Drug Advisory Program held a training for Substance Use Disorder Professionals. These were Courses 3&4 (COURSE 3: Physiology and Pharmacology for Addiction Professionals) (COURSE 4:Treatment for Substance Use Professionals- The Contiinuum of Care for Addiction Professionals)
The training was open to Medical students, Nurses/Doctors, pharmacists, Administrators in SUD Treatment Centres, Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, Healthcare Professionals, Parents, Residents in Psychiatrist, Family Physicians, Occupational Therapists, NGO’s, CSO’s and the general public who are interested in substance use disorders.
The benefits of this training include:
- Getting certified as a Universal Treatment Curriculum Trained Addiction Treatment Professional.
- Acquired membership of ISSUP
- Getting international recognition as an addiction prevention or treatment expert.
- Getting international certificate (ICCE) to work in several countries of the world.
- Getting points of continues Medical Education.
This training started since 2020, and it’s been consistent year in, year out.
